Bagi
Balloon Room
Welcome to the Bagi Balloon Room located in
the Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum at Rantoul, IL.
During the Summer of 2004, we had the chance to update the Hot
Air Balloon exhibit at the museum. A few people worked very hard, and the
results show. Kathy Reineke found 2 recent high school graduates with art
skills and arranged for them to paint the wall mural. It took nearly 3
weeks at 5-6 hours a day to complete the work. They incorporated the "pre-BAGI"
club balloon inflating, Garcia's first special shape, Jim Smith's old balloon,
as well as what looks like a couple of BAGI members with a new basket setup.
